“Three Royals”, England

England’s Golf Coast and the home of The Beatles. Play three Open Championship courses, including 2026's host Royal Birkdale, before heading to the home of pop royalty.

Liverpool is a place that stays with you. A city of music, football, and culture, with stories on every corner and a rhythm all its own. It’s where The Beatles played basement clubs. Where matchdays still feel like rituals. And where the River Mersey meets a coast lined with some of golf’s most storied names.

Just north of the city begins a run of championship links unlike anywhere else. Royal Birkdale, Royal Liverpool, and Royal Lytham & St Annes—all Open hosts, all steeped in history. Alongside them, Formby, Hillside and Southport & Ainsdale round out a remarkable stretch of golf. It’s all within reach from a single base, making it one of the most efficient and rewarding golf journeys in the game.

Between rounds, there’s time to explore Liverpool: a guided walk through its past and present; a night out in the Georgian Quarter; a matchday at Anfield or Goodison Park, if the season allows. Days begin with a full English, and end in a dockside hotel that once stored rum and tobacco, now transformed with understated style.

With Royal Birkdale set to host The Open again in 2026, the timing adds another layer — but this region needs no moment in the spotlight to shine. It’s a place that’s always ready, always compelling, and always worth returning to.

Please note that Royal Birkdale will be closed between Monday 22nd June and the 26th July for The 154th Open Championship
