The experience
Across 14-nights of five star stays and mountain excursions, Golf Traveller will route you all across New Zealand via some of the most stunning golf courses in the world. From the new North Course at Te Arai Links to the old favourite at Cape Kidnappers you’ll be treated to pristine white sand coastlines, jaw-dropping Pacific views and perfectly manicured golf, an experience that will be broken only by stays at luxurious lodges, boat rides, winery tours, alpine picnic lunches and even golf by helicopter at 4,500 feet.

    Day 1

    Arrive into Queenstown, check into your five-star stay at Eichardt’s Private Hotel before an official Whakatau welcome.

    Day 2

    Head straight to the heart of New Zealand’s spectacular scenery with a helicopter ride to the majestic Milford Sound to see blue ice on glaciers and the fiord’s coastal rainforests.

    Day 3

    Tee off at Jack’s Point with The Remarkables mountain range as your backdrop before taking to the skies again via helicopter to attempt a hole in one from 4,500 feet.

    Day 4

    The Hills Golf Club is a must play venue, surrounded on all four sides by stunning mountain range views and with a course that provides a stern, but wonderfully unique test.

    Day 5

    After checking in at Huka Lodge, learn about the rich history of this area in a Marae (Māori Meeting House) before heading to Te Puia for a geothermal dining experience.

    Day 6

    Play the Kinloch Club, the first and only Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course built in New Zealand, which pays homage to the great British and Irish links courses.

    Day 7

    Transfer and settle in at Rosewood Cape Kidnappers in Hawke’s Bay, home to some of the most ruggedly beautiful coastlines in New Zealand.

    Day 8

    Tee off at the famous Cape Kidnappers, Tom Doak’s design set among 2,400 hectares of Hawke’s Bay farmland sat atop dramatic Pacific Ocean cliffs.

    Day 9

    Enjoy another 18 holes at Cape Kidnappers, or a private Guided Hawke’s Bay Winery Tour with a delicious lunch at Craggy Range Restaurant with seasonal produce.

    Arrive at Rosewood Kauri Cliffs and sneak in an afternoon round, with fifteen holes looking out the islets, spectacular golden beaches, and the ocean.

    Day 11

    Experience a full day cruise on the glistening waters around the Bay of Islands, home to some of New Zealand’s most historic sites.

    Day 12

    Explore the estate and take advantage of the onsite activities, or head back to Kauri Cliffs for another 18 holes of stunning seaside golf.

    Day 13

    Transfer to Te Arai Links via helicopter and play the North Course, the newest offering from Tom Doak, weaving from coast to forest and back again.
