The experience
When Turin Castle was built in 1659, it stood some five miles from its current location, but in the early 1900s when the owner decided that she wanted a better view, the castle was moved brick by brick to its new home. Now set in twenty verdant acres of the Angus Glens, surrounded by colour, heather and ancient footpaths, the five-star Turin Castle is a property like no other, rich in Scottish culture and authenticity, and but a stone’s throw from some of Scotland’s most iconic golf courses.

*Price based on private rental of entire castle for up to 16 travellers. Rental of entire castle is required but there is no minimum on number of travellers.

Turin Castle itinerary

    Day 1

    Arrive at Turin Castle and head to your welcome dinner to the sound of bagpipes. Channel your inner Scot and don a traditional kilt or sash for the evening.

    Day 2

    Wake to a full breakfast, a day of hiking the unspoilt surrounding glens and ten Munros, and an evening with a classic murder mystery dinner.

    Day 3

    Walk in the footsteps of the greats at Carnoustie, host of eight Open Championships and famously one of golf’s greatest tests.

    Day 4

    Head for a stroll at Lunan Bay, the coastline that has attracted everyone from 10th century Viking armies to generations of holidaymakers, followed by a picnic lunch by the sea.

    Day 5

    Tee it up at Trump International with 18 holes along the Aberdeenshire coastline before an evening BBQ dinner and historical storytelling around the fire.

    Day 6

    Swap clubs for culture and visit the Fettercairn Distillery, learning how to distil from scratch using a range of homegrown crops and tasting a dram or two for yourself.
