Scotland. The spiritual home of golf.
From windswept coastlines and ancient linksland to castles, distilleries and storied towns, Scotland is a country where landscape and tradition remain deeply intertwined.
Here, golf follows the natural contours of the land, shaped by wind, sea and centuries of history.
Beyond the fairways, warm hospitality, exceptional produce and a deep sense of heritage create an experience that feels both timeless and distinctly Scottish.
If you’re ready to explore, then Scotland awaits…
Aberdeenshire. Where Scotland’s wild coastline meets centuries of heritage.
Stretching along the North Sea, Aberdeenshire is a landscape of sweeping dunes, dramatic beaches and some of the most revered linksland in the game.
Aberdeen itself, often known as the Granite City, blends historic character with a lively coastal energy. Beyond the city lie castle-dotted countryside, renowned whisky distilleries and a coastline shaped by wind and tide.
It is a setting perfectly suited to championship links golf. Rugged, authentic and unmistakably Scottish.
The golf. Aberdeenshire and Scotland’s east coast are home to some of the most revered links in the game.
The Oxford International Pro Am is open to teams of four — one professional and three amateurs — and is played across four championship layouts: the Old and New Courses at Trump International Golf Links, the Championship Course at Carnoustie, and the Balgownie Course at Royal Aberdeen.
The week begins with an 18-hole practice round, followed by a 54-hole tournament played across three rounds.
Each course offers a distinct expression of links golf — from the towering dunes of Trump International to the strategic challenge of Carnoustie and the classic, natural terrain of Royal Aberdeen.
The accommodation. Set in Aberdeen’s elegant West End, The Chester Hotel offers a refined base for the week.
Just moments from the city centre, it places you within easy reach of the region’s renowned links courses while offering a calm retreat from the rhythm of the day.
Behind its 19th-century granite façade, contemporary interiors and rich textures create an atmosphere that feels both sophisticated and relaxed - an ideal setting to unwind after days on the links.
